Wide Open Road is the featured single for the Almost a Mirror podcast, Episode 4, produced and written by Kirsten Krauth - which focuses on David McComb and The Triffids, the making of the song, and long-distance love.

It features interviews with Alsy MacDonald, Jill Birt, Martyn Casey, Graham Lee and Rob McComb from the Triffids.

ABOUT INGA
Inga Liljestrom is an Australian/ Finnish singer and composer who has worked extensively in Australia and Europe as a recording and performing artist. Her music has been described as aural landscapes, and each album is like a soundtrack to an imagined film. Her first compositions were with Helgrind, a punk rock group she formed with collaborator Felicity Wilcox. It was likened to Led Zeppelin meets Tori Amos. This led to her solo writing projects, She has released seven albums, her latest Of Stars and Stones.

INGA has also created tracks for nature films with award winning cinematographers Galaxiid, and her voice can be heard on recordings by Gotye, The Church, Carmen Rizzo, film and television for BBC, ABC, Sky TV, art installations, advertisements, and more. She is also a sound therapy teacher and runs group sound baths/ relaxation sessions with instruments and voice and is interested in the intersection of creativity and healing. She is currently working on a music PhD about the creative Muse.

ABOUT ZOE
Zoë Barry is a composer, cellist, sound artist, performance maker and educator. She creates across site specific installation, galleries, film, immersive theatre, digital space and chamber music. As a cellist, Zoë has performed with Jon Cale, Meow Meow, Adalita, Missy Higgins, Stars Of The Lid, A Winged Victory For The Sullen, Mick Harvey, Laura Jean, Dr G Yunupingul, Richard J Frankland, Accademia Arcadia, Musica da Camera, Ross Daly’s Labyrinth, Ross McLennan's New World Symphony, Tex Perkins, and Jocelyn Pook. She is the recipient of the 2021 ARIA Music Teacher Award.

ABOUT JED
Jed Palmer is an Australian-born award-winning composer, musician and producer. Utilising electronics, guitar and classical orchestration his work blends contrasting influences such as experimental music, noise, minimalism, drone, electro-acoustic, ambient and art rock. In 2018 Jed was nominated for an AACTA award for his score for Upgrade, Leigh Whannell’s cult sci-fi action film. In 2019, Jed was awarded the best score award at the Flickerfest Awards for his work on short film Sleepwalking. Jed has created soundtracks for feature films Animals (Dir. Sophie Hyde, Sundance 2019) and II Used To Be Normal - A Boyband Fangirl Story (Dir. Jessica Leski, Hot Docs 2018, SFF 2018).
